An Introduction

Hey everybody! First I want to say thanks so much for stopping by to read my first blog post. Let's get to it!

Let me introduce myself, my name is Nicole... that's me in the picture up there, oh about 11 years ago. I was 22 years old and had just gotten married to my awesome husband Nick. We met in college and dated for two years when he decided to join the United States Navy. He graduated boot camp and one month later we threw a quick little wedding and moved across the country (FL to CA). It was a very short time before he was quickly whisked away from me and moved back across the country to Virginia Beach, VA. I soon followed and we stayed for the next 6 years of our lives.

We bought our first home in Norfolk, VA. I loved that little home. It was 2B/2B and 1,600sq ft. We had a great big yard that I adorned with roses and a vegetable garden. Even though it was small, there were so many great features to it. If I could of moved that house with me to Florida, I would have.

I made a flower bed on the side of our house, lined with empty beer bottles that my husband and all of his Navy buddies were going through on the weekend! Why be wasteful, when I could use them to make something beautiful. It sure did look pretty when the sun hit those bottles just the right way!

Ah yes... I could go on and on about that little first house of ours. I spent so much time changing and adding to it. I spent a lot of time alone into that house while my husband was away. We had our first daughter in that house, oh how I wish she could remember learning to crawl, talk and eat there.

I was so excited to be having a daughter. I spent countless hours, while in Interior Design school full time, sewing those drapes for her windows and making valences from scratch. I decorated every wall and could not wait for her to arrive.

There she was, my beautiful little princess... but we were enjoying her alone. No family close by and no friends close by. It was time to go home.

So, in 2016 we moved back home to Pensacola, Fl. We were a family of three but little did we know that 1 year later we would be a family of four. We purchased our second home and the week we moved in, found out I was pregnant with our second little princess

Our second little princess was here and our little family was now complete.

So here we are almost 4 years later and I am just now sitting down to write this blog I have been telling myself I was going to start for the past 6 years. I have my precious little family, though we are not perfect, I am trying my best to make this life of ours a sweet one.

If you have continued reading all the way to here, I thank you. I hope that gives you a brief background on me...( I could write a 6 book series about my life if I went into detail, however I will spare you all until later!) I would love for you to follow along with me through this blog as I discuss home decor, DIY, gardening, life as a working stay at home mom and sometimes occasional baking. Life.
